To the west is the Henry Mountain range. It's difficult to see the Green and Colorado Rivers from the Island in the Sky District since the water is 1000 feet below the White Rim. Here, the canyon is wide enough to provide a view of a small portion of the Green River from Murphy Point.

The canyon views dominate one's impression of the park from Island in the Sky. Since the rivers can hardly be seen below the canyon rim it's easy to forget that they are the principle reason these awesome views exist.
