Upheaval Canyon is the drainage between Bighorn Mesa and Buck Mesa in the northwest corner of the Island in the Sky District at Canyonlands National Park. This panorama was taken near the upper end of the canyon not far from the Syncline backcountry campsite. It is roughly four miles from the Syncline Loop trailhead to this point in the canyon. This panorama was shot at about 4350 feet above sea level. The surrounding mesa tops are almost 1000 feet higher.
