My hands tend to swell up when I'm climbing at high altitude. After climbing two fourteeners within 24 hours, my fingers are very swollen and I decide not to attempt a third ascent. Despite the fact that I'll probably never get another chance to climb Tabequache, I tell Todd and Ron to go on without me. I wait for 60 minutes at the saddle between the two mountains at 13,700 feet while they climb to the 14,155 summit and return. I took this shot from one of the snowfields there while I was waiting. Remember seeing these snowfields from Mount Antero? This is another good view of Antero, top center.
