Since it's not such a popular route to Grays Peak, there is no trail out of Ruby Gulch to the southwest ridge, upper center. Where the old road comes to an end, I climbed northwest toward the high point on the ridge (upper center) where two small patches of snow can be seen. From there, the summit is just a quarter mile and 700 feet to go (above the larger patches of snow).
