Trail to Wheeler Lake

On the south side, near the top of Hoosier Pass, County Road 4 accesses Mongomery Reservoir. Wheeler Lake Road turns off of 4 and winds around to the northwest side of the reservoir. That's where I began my hike, here near the remains of Magnolia Mill. One can drive to Wheeler Lake via Wheeler Lake Road but it's recommended for high clearance four wheel drive vehicles only.
