This panorama was captured in late June about halfway up the Bighorn Trail in Eagles Nest Wilderness at 9800 feet. Bighorn Trail begins in East Vail, Colorado at 8600 feet and ends at a dilapidated old cabin at 10,800 feet. The trail is surrounded by aspen and evergreen forest for the first mile or so until it reaches a clearing where it climbs steeply and provides better views the farther you go.
