This panorama was shot at the top of 12,441 foot Copper Peak above Copper Mountain Resort, Colorado. In the distance is the Gore Range to the north, Ten Mile Range to the east, Climax Molybdenum Mine (Fremont Pass) to the south and the Sawatch Range to the west. I don't know what the debris is here at the top of the peak but I'm guessing there was some sort of weather station here which toppled over. My tripod was set on a solar panel platform about the size of a desk. Apparently there was some kind of solar powered gizmo here at one time, weather related or not. |
