This panorama was captured on the fourth of July. The tripod was set just a few hundred steps from Deluge Lake at 11,700 feet in the heart of the Eagles Nest Wilderness. The lake was still half frozen and hardly looked like a lake so I stepped back a bit in order to capture more of the tops of the surrounding peaks which range from 12,500 to 13,000 feet. It requires a hike of about three hours to reach this spot. Please click here for an overhead view of Deluge Lake.
