Mount Sniktau is easily reached from 11,990 foot Loveland Pass, US Highway 6, Clear Creek County, Colorado. It's a 1244 foot climb in about a mile and a half to 13,234 feet. From the summit you can see at least 11 of Colorado's 14ers in the distance, the closest being 14,267 foot Torreys Peak. You're surrounded on three sides by the Continental Divide and nearly a dozen 13ers within a few miles. This three to four hour hike would be nearly ideal were it not for the highway noise from I-70 below where it approaches the Eisenhower/Johnson Memorial Tunnels.
