In winter months this area next to the Vista Bahn would be crowded with skiers and snowboarders preparing to board the lift to Mid-Vail on Vail Mountain. The Vista Bahn lift doesn't run in summer so the open area is used for relaxing, picnicking, walking, biking — and football — as soon as I get out of the way.
