This panorama was taken on a high point along the Blue Ridge Parkway — Craggy Pinnacle near Asheville, North Carolina. At 5892 feet, it is one of the higher points in the US east of the Mississippi. (Mt. Mitchell, at 6684' is highest.) A short trail from the Parkway through tunnels of Rhododendron gets hikers to the summit where this panorama was captured. The guy in the picture is my brother Jeff. This was my first 360° panorama created with a digital camera.
