This is Meares Glacier. Its face is about a mile wide. It's an advancing tidewater glacier so it is scouring the shoreline pushing trees out of its way as it moves forward. The evening sky, the beautiful mountains and the mirror-like water made for some very nice pictures from here. Of the hundreds of photos from our trip it has been tough to pick a couple dozen for this gallery. This is surely one of the better ones, taken by my brother Jeff.
