This shot was taken at the 11,500 foot level, looking east from the approach to the summit of Bald Mountain (not seen, to the left of the picture). With a high clearance vehicle you can drive up Spraddle Creek Road from Vail to around 10,500 feet and hike to the top from there. Scroll right to see the whole picture.
