Bald Mountain rises to 12,136 feet. Its summit is northeast of Vail Mountain and can be seen from many parts of Eagle County. These photos were taken at a time when forest fires were raging in the western part of Colorado, so the view into the distance is not as clear as usual due to the smoky haze.
