Here at the 10,700 foot level on June 3, along Booth Creek there are only a few spots where all of the snow has melted except on the mountain faces exposed to the sun. This panorama was taken at a spot which is a lush wetland area later in the year. The valley levels out a bit here allowing the creek to water a wide area. It will only be a week or two before all the snow in this area goes away and plants begin to thrive in the wetlands.
