Most people approach Chesler Park from the Elephant Hill Trailhead. We started there on October 5, at 8:10 in the morning. It looked like a perfect day with no clouds in the sky, around 40°F. The moderately difficult trail climbs immediately so you have a view to the east of the La Sal Mountain Range.
