You can reach Gooseberry Canyon by vehicle, via the White Rim Road, or the way I did, hiking about three miles from the Island In The Sky. The first third of the hike is a very steep descent of about 1400 feet after which the rest is an easy walk. In about two hours you reach the road and the White Rim of the canyon, here.
