| This panorama was taken September 6, from near the base of Independence Monument facing roughly east. The valley is known as Monument Canyon and the hiking trail proceeds around the base of the rock formations (monuments) on the right side of the photo [scroll right]. A nice benefit of entering the place on foot is that there is no entrance fee as there is with a car. Plus, there are no cars here. This panorama is composed from three 35mm images. |
