The trail to Devil's Causeway begins west of Yampa, Colorado along the Bear River. Bear River feeds three reservoirs in the area. This one, Yampa Reservoir seems the most scenic, looking more like a natural lake than the others. At the end of the road, at Stillwater Reservoir the hike begins at 10,255 feet above sea level.
