This unnamed lake at 9000 feet, about 2.5 miles from the trailhead was our turn around point on this short day hike. The trail continues along Cross Creek for another 10 miles, in the valley between Mt. Jackson and Holy Cross. Eventually the trail reaches the much larger Harvey Lake and Blodgett Lake at over 11,000 feet before turning east to go over Fancy Pass.
