Lonesome Lake Trail seems quite level after the initial 20 minutes but it almost imperceptibly continues to climb. This shot of a scenic peak was taken from the 10,500 foot level, about 1.5 hours in. Moments after I took this shot, I saw two people, the only other hikers I was to see on this day.
