Just before reaching Charles Peak, the Iron Edge Trail enters Holy Cross Wilderness. This is the view southwest from the 12,005 foot summit of Charles Peak. The lake below is Crooked Creek Reservoir. The reddish mountain upper right is Red Table Mountain. The highest peaks in the distance are Capitol Peak and Snowmass Mountain, roughly 32 miles away in the Maroon Bells Snowmass Wilderness.
