The popular hiking route to Mount of the Holy Cross begins at Half Moon Campground, at the end of the 8.4 mile Tigiwan Road outside of Minturn, Colorado. On August 31, I began my hike at 7:15 and climbed the 1200 feet to Half Moon Pass in about an hour. Here's the view looking back, of the Gore Range and the Turkey Creek drainage.
