Mount of the Holy Cross dominates the view whenever the trail breaks out of the forest. This shot with the zoom lens makes it look close but it's over six miles away. I have not climbed Holy Cross even though it's the closest to my home of all of Colorado's 54 fourteeners (mountains over 14,000 feet in height). I've bagged seven of them and hope to make Holy Cross my eighth, soon.
