Since the trail begins high at 10,600 feet, it takes only a couple of hours to reach Timberline. At 11,200 feet you enter the Holy Cross Wilderness. Near 11,600 you find this pond. The trail splits here. Those who want to climb to Homestake Mine turn right. I turned left for West Tennessee lakes. |  |
