Even though our hike was on December 23, there is little snow on Hoosier Ridge. It is wind-swept and hasn't collected enough snow yet on which to ski. We are on snowshoes but wonder if the going might actually be easier without them. This is the view south from 12,800 feet toward Fairplay.
