Approaching tree line at about 11,400 feet, Gore Range Trail provides this view of Eccles Pass at upper right. This hike was done on August 21 and there were clear signs of autumn with some of the grasses already turning brown. Gore Range Trail will shortly intersect with Meadow Creek Trail and climb another 500 feet to the pass. Meadow Creek Trail is an alternative route to Eccles Pass beginning in north Frisco.
