This photo was taken in East Vail, Colorado. Gore Range peaks can be seen above the Pitkin Creek drainage at upper left. The Bighorn Creek drainage is at upper right. The picture was taken from a town-owned parcel of land below Lupine Falls. At the bottom you can see a jump ramp built of snow by snowboarders and skiers to practice their aerial maneuvers. I might have tried flying off it when I was younger.
