Near the top of Vail Pass along the bicycle trail, a beaver has built a dam, backing up Black Gore Creek enough to widen it into this small pond. Usually exhausted after climbing the pass, I like to stop here to rest and take in the view before proceeding the final 10 minutes to the top.
