Aerial photography is tough. It's hard to get good contrast and the photos never seem to show how the scene really looks. Anyway, here's one looking west from 14,036 foot Mt. Sherman. At the base of the mountain is Iowa Gulch, site of much current and historical mining activity. In the distance is Mt. Elbert, left, highest point in Colorado; Mt.
