My first glimpse of Alaska was a good one. On the approach to Anchorage, we had this view of the Chugach Mountains. A light layer of clouds along the coast of the Gulf of Alaska allowed us to see the mountain peaks below them as well as above. I can't remember ever seeing a more impressive view from the air.
