When the Wilderness Act was signed into law in 1964, Linville Gorge became one of the first designated wilderness areas in the United States. Linville Gorge Wilderness is currently the third largest roadless wilderness area in North Carolina. Linville River runs the entire length of Linville Gorge, north to south. This panorama was captured just upriver from Conley Cove Trail at the bottom of the gorge. This spherical panorama can be scrolled straight up, straight down and all around. |
