Here we are at the top of the Jackson Hole tram. It's typically quite windy here resulting in bare ground despite several feet of snow on the rest of the mountain. Since the photo was taken, the 40 year old Jackson Hole Tram has been replaced. A new $31 million version carries 100 people at a time up 4,139 feet to the summit of Rendevous Mountain in about nine minutes.
