| This is the lowest of the Willow Lakes situated below Red Peak and East Thorn in the Eagles Nest Wilderness. At 11,249 feet it's the first lake you'll see on your way up Willow Lakes Trail (if you don't include the tiny ponds nearby). I was hoping to find a vantage point to photograph all of the lakes together but doing so would have added more to this 18 mile day hike, which I just couldn't do. More from Willow Lakes |
