Harvard Glacier
This photo shows the western half of the face of Harvard Glacier. The face is about a mile and a half wide and 300 feet high (at least that's what we were told). As we moved closer to the face of the glacier within 1500 feet it was hard to believe that it's as high as a 20 story building. Perhaps my perception of scale was off, with so much water and the surrounding high mountains. This shot was taken around 8:00 a.m. Please click here to view a 290° panorama of Harvard Glacier from the deck of the small cruise ship, Spirit of Columbia.
