Syncline Camp is midway along the Syncline Loop Trail in Canyonlands National Park. A backcountry permit is required for camping here. There is only one site.

The campsite is out of view in this picture, about 100 steps away. It's just a bare spot where you put your tent. Campfires are not allowed and there are no facilities of any kind, although when I was there, there was a nice big log to sit on. At certain times of year you can find a puddle of water not far from the site. Below here where I set my tripod, you can see the wash that leads down Upheaval Canyon to the Green River, about four miles away.
