| Beginning east of the Needles of Canyonlands National Park on Utah Highway 211 and ending inside the park at Elephant Hill, Beef Basin Road is one of the more challenging four wheel drive roads in Utah. The section of the road featured here is outside the park and is relatively moderate. About 42 miles off Highway 211, you come to a point where warning signs suggest you not proceed further without a heavy-duty high clearance vehicle. A couple of these photos show why. |
